This site will help collect and show the temperatures of Apple Macintosh computers using the new processors by Intel. All new computers that haven't faced the trail of time will have problems and issues that can make users mad and furious. As with the new MacBook Pro machines where were, and still are, problems with heat dispensing. After scouting forums and help sites for information about what temperatures I can expect on a new MacBook, but that turned out to be harder and more scattered than I first imagined. That's the main motive behind this site.

Getting the site up and running was easier than starting from the ground since I already had the code base ready from another site that I've been running for a few years. But it still needed a lot of back-end, layout and functional changes.

  • 2006-05-20 17:28 added javascript function to change the color of the pre-filled fields to make it more clear what fields needs to be checked/updated
  • 2006-05-20 22:17 added an icon that indicates screenshots to listing, made visual difference between stock and fixed configurations input groups, added rpm to list
  • 2006-05-20 23:50 changed the icon position, swapped the default descendant and ascendant sort order, changed the fixed temperatures list view to show in parentheses

  • 2016-05-01 17:13 updated code to fix mysql num rows deprecation
  • 2016-05-16 09:23 added over 100 new models, updated submission form to be compatible with the latest drives (SSD), changed system firmware to boot ROM version, clarified whine and moo options, updated comments suggestions, made site HTTPS/SSL exclusive (Let's Encrypt), updated profile with model production date/sub-model name
